About us

“Preservation of one's own culture does not require contempt or disrespect  for other cultures” -Cezar Chavez

That is exactly how we feel about the topic of culture. Our perspective is one which  embraces the rich colourful tapestry of culture and the beautiful things it's diverse convergence creates or the ugly underbelly that becomes a part of the story of our own history individually or collectively.

CULTRAIT  seeks to explore the MANY cultural experiences, that tells the story through the eyes of the people who live it everyday. We're a group of young people who are curious and bold enough to ask the right questions, while being humble enough to respect the diversity of everyone's cultural background.

Why should I even bother to read these blogs? You may ask. Well the answer is pretty simple, it requires introspection, about what defines you along cultural lines.

These discussions on culture are about you, me, anyone who wants to lend their voice to the discourse about how culture has shaped their lives.  We look forward to you being a part of the experience with us, sharing it with others and giving us your feedback.

We wish for you happy reading,  enlightenment and the inspiration to CULTRAIT your own experiences.
